KEY TAKEAWAYS
What is the price range of the new Nissan Kicks e-POWER?
The Nissan Kicks e-POWER ranges from P1.499 million-P1.749 million. How much horsepower and torque can the Nissan Kicks e-POWER produce?
The Nissan Kicks e-POWER can produce up to 134 horsepower and 250 Newton-meters of torque. This version of the electrified crossover is a heavily updated model that was initially launched in Thailand earlier this year. Also in 2026, the updated Nissan Kicks e-POWER was shown for the first time on local soil at the 2026 Philippine International Motor Show.
So, what is this updated hybrid crossover offering to prospective adopters? Let’s find out here.
Powertrain
Under the hood of the 2026 model-year Nissan Kicks is the same e-POWER system as in the outgoing model. Specifically, it comprises a 1.2-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine paired with a 2.06-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery and an electric motor.
For those unfamiliar with the e-POWER system, propulsion is provided solely by the vehicle’s electric motor. Its three-banger, on the other hand, serves as a generator that charges the battery mentioned above, which in turn powers the electric motor.
Notably, the electric motor drives the vehicle’s front wheels. Its maximum output is rated up to 134 horsepower and 280 Newton-meters of torque.
By utilizing an electric motor as its drive unit, the Kicks e-POWER promises a driving experience similar to that of an electric vehicle (EV). This means instant torque. At the same time, it is far quieter than most internal combustion-only crossovers of its size.
Ensuring ride quality and handling for the model are a front MacPherson strut and a rear torsion beam suspension. It likewise uses front and rear disc brakes.
Like most electrified vehicles, the new Nissan Kicks e-POWER features a drive mode selector for better power optimization and regenerative braking. On top of those, it has the e-Pedal Step, a nifty piece of tech that provides a true one-pedal driving experience.
