MIAS 2019: Here’s what MG has in stock for the show

MANILA: Until now, you all must be aware that in a few days we are going to witness this year’s biggest local auto show. Yes, we are talking about the Manila International Auto Show that is scheduled to take from 4th to 7th April 2019. Organised at the World Trade Park in Metro Manila, this show will bring some of the biggest names in the auto industry under its roof.

It is sure a place to visit if you are planning to buy a car, as all the latest and upcoming vehicles would be on display. Among other brands will also be present the British carmaker, Morris Garages. Here MG will be showcasing its latest cars along with a fun concert for visitors. Sounds great, isn’t it?

Arcilla, President & CEO of The Covenant Car Company, Inc., the official distributor of MG Philippines about brand’s future in the country said “MG has done very well in many parts of the world where, in the past, the MG brand was not a household name. Places like Latin America, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia have embraced MG for their high quality and ability to satisfy various needs and lifestyles.

Given this, and recognizing that The Philippines is one of the most important and fastest growing automotive markets in the world, we feel that the time is just right for MG to make a big splash in the Philippine auto scene.” He further said that they have noticed how the qualities of today’s MG cars strongly appeal to Filipino buyers, and that is the reason why the company is showcasing some of its modern, attainable, British heritage vehicles at the MIAS where the Filipino car-buying public can have a first-hand experience of the MG cars.

At the MG booth, onlookers will get to witness cars like - the RX5 compact SUV, MG 6 fastback sedan, and ZS crossover SUV. Also, all the MG models mentioned above will be offered at competitive prices along with all-in downpayment rate and one-year free PMS.

Also, MG owners can experience innovative after sale service experience like MG Mobile Garage under which you can get your car serviced at the comfort of your home.

Under the limelight at the MG Philippines booth at MIAS Wired 2020 will, however, be the MG 6 fastback sedan. The car will be launched at the show under the theme ‘Fast is Back’. With this car, MG will be taking a new take on enjoyable driving dynamics and sport-luxury something for which this brand is traditionally known for.

MG 6 key highlights -

• It is powered by a 1.5-litre turbo mill that churns out 164 hp and 250 Nm
• The cabin is finished in plush soft-touch material with seats providing ample lumbar support
• Its specs sheet includes modern features like 8-inch LCD infotainment system with Apple CarPaly, multi-functional steering, push start/stop button, and sunroof
• The sedan also offers a large boot space
• On the safety front are present drive assist techs like Hill Start Assist, Cornering Brake Control, Traction Control, Electronic Brake Distribution, among others
• The car would be launched in two variants - Alpha (Php 1,068,888) and Trophy (Php 1,188,888)

Wrapping up with a somewhat musical turn, the last lag of MG Live! is scheduled to take place at the MIAS 2019 on 6th April and will feature OPM band Ultra Combo.
