New Honda HR-V's pricing starts at P1.45-M

MANILA: Honda Cars Philippines Incorporated (HCPI) shall conduct the official consumer launch for the HR-V’s latest iteration next week.

According to HCPI, the sport utility vehicle’s soon-to-arrive version will be formally shown to buyers on March 9 at SM North EDSA’s The Block Atrium.

The latest addition to the brand’s local new energy vehicle lineup was first seen last January.

Specifications

Here are some notable details about the new Honda HR-V.

Exterior

The new Honda HR-V has the following measurements:

Although sporting a smaller grille, the new Honda HR-V's front fascia looks similar to the outgoing version (with a blue H badge to showcase that it is now part of the firm's hybrid roster).

Additionally, the vehicle is being offered in 17- or 18-inch wheels (depending on the variant chosen).

Interior

Inside the cabin of the new Honda HR-V is a plethora of convenience features such as:

• Electronically-adjustable driver seat
• Floating infotainment system with wireless connectivity for Apple Carplay and Android Auto
• Wireless charging dock
• Dual-zone automatic air-conditioning system
• ULT (Utility, Long, and Tall Mode) seats

Powertrain

Under the hood of the new Honda HR-V are the two engine options:

• For the top-of-the-line variant: a port-injected, four-cylinder, Atkinson cycle, double overhead cam (DOHC), intelligent variable valve timing and lift electronic control (i-VTEC), 1.5-liter gasoline engine with two electric motors (also known as e:HEV)
• For mid- and entry-level variations: 1.5-liter DOHC i-VTEC mill

Moreover, the new Honda HR-V’s crème-dela-crème offering boasts three drive system options namely:

• EV: full electric set-up
• Hybrid: generating electricity using the gasoline engine
• Engine: pure internal combustion operation
