Next-gen Toyota Tamaraw gets 2 more trims under GL option

MANILA: Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has expanded the next-generation Tamaraw lineup.

As seen in the leading automotive distributor’s website, the light commercial vehicle now has the GL versions of the Utility Van and Aluminum Cargo, which are available via indent orders.

Here’s what buyers can expect from the next-generation Toyota Tamaraw’s two new offerings.

Vehicle specifications

Both options are powered by the 2.4-liter diesel-fed engine (2GD-FTV) that delivers the following figures:

Maximum output (in horsepower)	148
Peak torque (in Newton-meters)	400

Unlike their standard diesel-powered counterparts that have five-speed rowers, the GL iterations are mated to six-speed automatic gearboxes.

Stability and control is assured by the combination of disc- (for the front) and drum-type (rear) brakes as well as the suspension system composed of IFS coil (front) and leaf springs (rear).

Giving them a more upscale look are the variant-specific headlamps, 16-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 215/65 tires, and black front bumper skirts.

Inside, the vehicles have a seven-inch display studio audio system and four-way manual-adjustable seats.
