Welcome the 2019 Kia Soluto, price starts at Php 625,000

MANILA: Selling in China since 2017 as the Pegas, this sedan has now arrived on the Philippine shores, albeit with a different name. In the quest of reviving the brand in the Philippines, Kia Philippines joined hands with Ayala Corporation last year. And the new journey has now begun with the 2019 Kia Soluto.

Unfortunately, we might still need to wait for the Stinger to arrive in the country. However, the Soluto in itself is a good sedan to give stiff competition to the other cars in the segment. Talking about the 2019 Kia Soluto specs,

the sedan houses a 1.4-litre dual-CVVT gas-fed motor capable of pumping out 95 PS of maximum power at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque 132 Nm at 4,000 rpm. The power is sent to the front wheels via a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission unit. Dimensions wise, the Soluto stands at 4,300 mm long, 1,700 mm wide, and 1,460 mm tall.

With a wheelbase of 2,570 mm, the Soluto packs a lot of room inside for the occupants. The sedan’s design language is more or less inspired by other models in the South Korean automaker’s stable. Moving inside the Soluto, we find a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a 6-speaker setup.

There is also Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity on offer along with steering wheel mounted controls and a rearview camera. Parking assistant and leather seats can be had with the higher end models of the sedan. While the lower end models get 14-inch steel wheels, the top end variants ride on alloys of the same size.

Safety features on the sedan include anti-lock braking system and dual front airbags among others. With five color options, namely Aurora Black Pearl, Clear White, Titanium Silver, Marcato Red, and Blue Stream, the Soluto is being offered in four variants in the Philippines. The 2019 Kia Soluto price starts at Php 625,000 for the base variant and goes all the way to Php 735,000 for the top of the line model.

From January 31 to February 3, interest buyers can have a look at the 2019 Kia Soluto in person at three different locations, namely Trinoma in Quezon City, Alabang Town Center in Muntinlupa, and Bonifacio High Street in BGC.
