Zigwheels Philippines weekly wrap: November 17-21, 2025

MANILA: Even as we approach the Christmas season, the automotive industry shows no signs of slowing down.

In the local car industry, a car brand announces the impending arrival of its latest high-performance offering. Another also rolled out its latest three-row model. The motorcycle scene likewise saw the reveal of refreshed models from an American brand in preparation for 2026. 

All those sound exciting. So, without further ado, here’s what happened in the automotive and motorcycle industries in the third week of November 2025.

Local car launches

Mitsubishi Destinator

In the third week of November 2025, Mitsubishi Motor Philippines Corporation launched the all-new Destinator.

The said vehicle is a midsize three-row crossover powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with the following output figures:

Maximum power (in horsepower)	161
Peak torque (in Newton-meters)	250

MG HS Hybrid+

Morris Garages (MG) Motor Philippines officially launched the all-new HS Hybrid+ on November 21, 2025. It entered the market with a starting price of P1.398 million. 

Propelling the next-generation crossover is a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that can put out 220 horsepower (hp) and 340 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque. It also has an electric motor, a lithium-ion battery, and a total estimated range of 1,000 kilometers (km).

Fuso F-List, F-Resh

Sojitz Fuso Philippines Corporation is looking to enter the crane and cold chain logistics arenas with its launch of the all-new Canter F-Lift and F-Resh. 

The Fuso Canter F-Lift is equipped with a heavy-duty telescopic Tadano boom crane with a three-ton capacity. The aforementioned is paired with a dropside body. Meanwhile, the Fuso Canter F-Resh is a refrigerated van produced by Cooltech.

Kia Sonet K-Style

Kia Philippines has rolled out the limited-edition Sonet K-Style. It is limited to just 150 units, and it sports choice styling improvements, namely, two new color options, spoked 16-inch alloy wheels, and a K-Style side decal - among others.

Global launches

Nissan Navara

Nissan has revealed the all-new Navara in Australia. Per the brand, the nameplate received plenty of improvements, which are mostly designed to cater to the needs of Oceanian pickup truck buyers.

Harley-Davidson 2026 models

Harley-Davidson provides a preview of its 2026 lineup of motorcycles. A majority of its offerings received new color options and an upgraded set of safety equipment. Its entire model lineup can also be paired with the new “Solo Trim Package.”

Upcoming local cars

Toyota GR Corolla

In the third week of November 2025, Toyota Motor Philippines announced that the GR Corolla would be introduced to the local market. No exact dates were provided, but Zigwheels Philippines has speculated that it will enter the country before the year ends. 

Furthermore, the company has yet to provide a spec sheet for the Philippine version. Otherwise, the one sold in Thailand uses a 1.6-liter three-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine capable of outputting 296 hp and 400 Nm of torque. It also has an eight-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters and a Torsen limited-slip differential.

Global industry updates

In the third week of November 2025, Toyota Motor Corporation highlighted its hydrogen-powered GR Corolla at the final race of the 2025 Super Taikyu Series. Doing so showcased the vehicle’s durability, specifically its hydrogen pressurization pump, which didn’t need to undergo a replacement despite completing a prior race. 

At the same time period, the Suzuki eVitara received the ‘2025 Car of the Year Special Award’ from the NPO Automotive Research and Journalists’ Conference of Japan (RJC). Per the said organization, the vehicle was noted for its size and all-wheel-drive system, which suited Japan’s “diverse road conditions.” 

Toyota and Honda also joined hands to promote road safety in Thailand through the newly launched ‘Kub-dee-dai-dee’ campaign. The aforementioned initiative seeks to create mutual consideration between four-wheel and two-wheel vehicle users. 

In the motorcycle industry, Yamaha Motor Company Limited shared that it is set to launch the all-electric version of the Aerox in India. 

The Kia PV5 also bagged the “2026 International Van of the Year” title for its innovation, efficiency, and all-around capability. Additionally, the Hyundai Ioniq 9 earned a 2025 Top Safety Pick+ rating from the US-based Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. 

Local industry updates

In the third week of November 2025, the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Incorporated (CAMPI) and the Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA) outline the sales performance of locally present brands for October 2025. In total, the group’s member brands saw a collective retail output of 383,424 units. 

The Automotive Body Manufacturers of the Philippines (ABMAP) has urged the Department of Transportation to continue the implementation of the Public Transport Modernization Program. Per the group, doing so will help stimulate the economy and provide the public with safer and more comfortable commutes. 

VinFast Philippines has also reported that its “PiliPinas” program saw a large turnaround with more than 20,000 votes. With that said, winners of the said contest were given a total of 303 prizes, which were valued at around P5.1 million.

Kia Philippines, meanwhile, disclosed that it is eyeing a 25 percent growth in sales by the end of the year. As of October 2025, the marque’s local arm already sold a total of 6,770 units. 

November car promos PH

Until the end of November 2025, Toyota Motor Philippines is offering a variety of options that will make a number of its local nameplates more accessible. One example is a low downpayment promo of P110,250 for the Toyota Wigo G. 

Honda Cars Philippines likewise extended its “35 Years: Driving Dreams Forward” promo until November 30, 2025. This promo offers a low downpayment of just P35 for select Honda models. 

Starting in November until the end of the year, Hariphil Asia Resources, Incorporated is providing hefty discounts and other offers for its line of Hyundai commercial vehicles. The aforementioned includes up to P450,000 off the HD50 GT modern public utility vehicle.
