  • About Ford Philippines

    Ford Motor Company Philippines Inc. (FMCPI) is a Philippine-based subsidiary of Ford Motor Company. The brand was primarily focused on manufacturing automobiles for local and regional markets from 1998 until 2012. In the beginning, the brand introduced US-made vehicles such as the Expedition, the F-150, the Clubwagon, and the Lincoln Town Car.  

    In 1929, Henry Ford established Pilipinas Ford Car Works, Inc. (PFCW). The brand started its initial production operations on May 3, 1968, out of a plant located at Sucat, Parañaque. In 1976, FPI inaugurated a body stamping plant in Mariveles, Bataan. It was later that year when the brand witnessed a new P4 Billion state-of-the-art assembly plant in Santa Rosa, Laguna opened in September 1999. 

    The first car manufactured at the plant was the Ford Lynx, and the company began building the Mazda-based Ford Ranger in March 2000. With increased output and demand, FMPCI company expanded its line up with the introduction of the Escape SUV, Explorer SUV, and Everest SUV. Towards the end of the decade, the Fiesta and Mustang were also introduced in the local market.

    Ford Philippines is a national sales and distribution business that handles all sales, service, and marketing activities of Ford vehicles in the Philippines. It was established in July 2000 and currently distributes vehicles sourced from Thailand and North America.

    Coming to its present offering, Ford is currently offering its widest lineup of class-leading cars, SUVs, and trucks which include the new Ford Fiesta, Ford Focus, Ford EcoSport, Ford Mustang, Ford Escape, Ford Everest, Ford Ranger, Ford Explorer, and Ford Expedition.

    In line with its wide lineup of vehicles, Ford is equally committed to further improving its customer experience, which includes customer convenience from an even wider network of authorized dealerships.

    Previously, in its 19th year, HFA celebrated the contributions of automotive journalists in shaping the Philippine automotive industry. To honor the journalists and mark their contributions, HFA introduced the new Best Online Automotive Publication category, which aims to recognize the power of digital platforms in informing, educating, and influencing the Filipino commuting public. All automotive websites and blogs that feature industry news and vehicle reviews (article or video), at the minimum, are automatically qualified to vie for the award.

    Lastly, as a step towards a more customer influenced future, HFA is also launching an all-digital submission for all entries, harnessing the speed and precision in using a fully-digital platform to submit and accommodate entries without the need for paper submissions.
