Ushering in Toyota Motor Philippines’ (TMP) presence in the local electric vehicle segment is the bZ4X all-electric compact sport utility vehicle — which lets Filipino car buyers get a taste of what modern experience the Japanese carmaker has to offer.

On that note, here are the four available colors of TMP’s offering to help them better understand what’s in store for those looking to transition to electric mobility.

Dark Blue Mica / Attitude Black Mica

Arguably the sportiest hue in the bunch, this colorway blends deep blue tones with black accents to bring an athletic appeal to the model. 

The dark navy — almost indigo-like — evokes a new kind of power. On paper, it does around 223 horsepower on the front wheel, accompanied by 118 horses on the rear axle. When it comes to torque, it generates 269 Newton-meters (Nm) on the front wheel axle and 170 Nm on the rear wheels.

For daily driving, this translates to quick acceleration from hard stops and fluid forward motion in both slow and fast traffic conditions.

Platinum White Pearl Mica / Attitude Black Mica

Those who follow our stories know we typically associate the color white with safety, as white-painted automobiles are less involved in car crashes, as stated by studies. 

As for the Toyota bZ4X, it is equipped with the following safety features:

• Pre-collision system
• Automatic high beam
• Lane trace assist
• Lane departure alert

Emotional Red / Attitude Black Mica

As the name suggests, it is the most evocative color available for the Toyota bZ4X. Red brings out the passion for speed and excitement behind the wheel.

Powering the small SUV is a dual electric motor setup that generates the abovementioned numbers. Now those numbers will just be digits on the brochure if not for the suspension system that converts power into poetry in motion. 

At the front are MacPherson struts, while the rear gets a double wishbone suspension setup for more comfortable and graceful movement — even in fast-paced driving situations.

Its all-wheel drive system ensures that power is sent to all four wheels for better traction and stability, as well as added capability.

Finally, ventilated disc brakes all around ensure sufficient stopping power, whether it is for abrupt halts or smooth deceleration.

Precious Metal / Attitude Black Mica

Gray best represents the technological offerings of the Toyota bZ4X. 

Functions that will make one’s journeys convenient include a smart keyless entry system with a push-start ignition system, automatic dual climate control, two wireless chargers, a 14-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a seven-inch digital instrument cluster.

The Toyota bZ4X is currently available in a single variant priced at P2.714 million.
