The 3.2-litre TDCi mill, on the other hand, it is not for the mileage lovers, as for its performance it churns out 200 PS and 470 Nm of power and torque respectively.

Ford Ranger despite being a pickup is blessed with Ford’s best-in-class driving dynamics. First, it gets not a hydraulic but an electronically steering, EPAS that light and responsive in the city and also easier to control at high speed. Next, is its Hill Descent Control that automatically applies the brake when the vehicle is on steep services, controlling the balance and speed. Wading in water is no problem with Ranger’s 800mm river-taming ability, so whether its land or water adventure never stops with Ranger.

Ford has tuned in a number of drivers assisting features in Ranger, all helping the driver to concentrate on the road, despite caring for various controls. Its automatic headlamp turns on when it detects scarcity of light around. Also, its rain sensing wipers activate the moment they detect rain and adjust speed in accordance to the heaviness of the downpour. Automatically adapting to different loads and thus providing better control is its Electronically Stability Program (towing capacity – 1000 kg payload & 3,500kg towing).
