2019 Toyota Fortuner to feature Android Auto & Apple CarPlay

MANILA: The Toyota Fortuner has always been one of the more popular and admired SUVs not only in the Philippines but also across the planet. The Japanese mid-size SUV has also been the front runner in the segment in various markets. However, despite being topping the sales charts and providing ample power and all the needed creature comforts to the buyers, the Toyota Fortuner has faced quite a bit of bashing due to the fact that it doesn't offer either of Android Auto or Apple CarPlay even in 2019.

Anyway, the Japanese automobile manufacturer has, at last, reacted to the criticism and heard the voice of its customers and fans. For 2019, all of the Toyota Fortuner variants will come equipped with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. AVT, the car infotainment system manufacturer for Toyota has developed a new 2-DIN system for the Fortuner SUV that supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Following the mid-size SUV, the new infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay is expected to make its way to more of the Toyota cars like Yaris, Camry, and others in the near future.

Toyota Philippines has been on a roll in recent times. The automaker has released quite a few new and updated models in the Philippines including the 2020 Hiace Super Grandia, Corolla Altis, and the 2019 Avanza. Besides, the most surprising and welcomed launch has been of the Toyota Vios Race Car.

The special edition of the best-selling passenger car in the Philippines gets some unique additions like sport bucket front seats, roll cage, TRD Aero kit, lightweight hood, uprated clutch cover and disc, sports muffler, and uprated disc brakes with sport brake pads.
