Castrol Magnatec engine oil promises up to 50% less wear

MANILA: Since personal mobility has become even more essential nowadays, engine protection is taken on increased importance.

Castrol Magnatec with breakthrough Dualock Technology is designed to offer vehicle owners non-stop engine protection for a range of fuel types and vehicles, from the entire driving process until the engine stops. This significantly decreases damage from both stop-start and warm-up wear by up to 50%, and it also applies for vehicles that run on the newest stop-start technology.

When the engine is at rest or it stops, the oil undergoes a cooling process and it drains to the sump. Once the engine starts up, wherein about 75% of engine wear happens, it normally takes around 20 minutes for it to achieve optimum engine temperature.

Furthermore, it is possible for essential engine components to lack oil, which makes them more susceptible to damage.

Along with the general concern of traffic, damage to engine components makes drivers encounter more stop-start driving. It is also possible for them to have an engine that undergoes up to 66% of increased stress on critical components due to long periods of being idle.

Castrol Philippines Country Sales Director Maria Tañada said, “Castrol Magnatec is designed to protect the everyday Filipino driver, ensuring that their engines are at peak performance at all times. This is especially relevant with today’s uncertainty brought by the pandemic, as complete protection and reliability gives them the much needed confidence to conquer the challenges that lay ahead.”

Castrol Magnatec with Dualock Technology is created with an industry-leading, pioneering formulation, arising from a decade of research and development to develop a lubricant tailored for the present urban driving setting and to provide protection to engines against wear and tear due to stop-start driving.

Castrol Magnatec Dualock Technology has the ability to combine the initial intelligent molecules of Castrol Magnatec with the new stop-start wear molecules for enhanced wear protection. They bind with one another to create a strong protective force-field on essential engine components.
