Mitsubishi Xpander owners attest to MPV's value propositions

MANILA: Due to a wide range of vehicles available in the market nowadays, a lot of people experience some challenges in selecting the most suitable vehicle for their needs and lifestyles.

For Mitsubishi Xpander owners, however, the choice is obviously clear.

In explaining his reasons why he chooses the Xpander, he added, “I bought the Xpander because of its outstanding features, the handling, the space, the performance and especially the looks.”

Forty-one-year old family man, administrative officer for a non-government organization (NGO), and general manager of Jezreel Farm Joshua Alviar had a similar realization which made him admire and choose the Mitsubishi Xpander.

Joshua said, “The most memorable time I had with my Xpander was when I drove to Olongapo and Zambales one time. Everyone, as in everyone, was looking at me, or the car, at least.”

Other Xpander owners also shared their stories on why they prefer the next-generation MPV of Mitsubishi among other vehicles.

The three-row, seven-seater MPV offers the biggest cargo space in its segment. It has up to 1,630 liters of available volume when the rear seats are folded. Thus, the Xpander offers ultimate flexibility for a wide range of uses.

Joshua reiterated, “The feature of the Xpander I like the most is the size of the cabin… it is huge. It is helpful for transporting people for our NGO and vet medicines for our poultry farm. Given that I only drive it myself most of the time, the 1.5-liter engine would suffice and is good enough for gas consumption.”

The Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing Electronic Control System (MIVEC) DOHC 16-Valve engine of the Xpander generates 141Nm of torque and 104hp.

The Xpander is equipped with clever features like a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, keyless entry, a reverse camera, a smart information display for keeping track of a customer’s driving style to achieve fuel efficiency, three 12V outlets (one for every row), multiple bottle and cup holders, storage bins, and telescopic steering adjustment.

All these features blended with an exquisitely laid out interior that provides a balance between functionality and design enable the Xpander to be an appropriate vehicle for daily travel.

Jimmy also observed one distinct feature that the Xpander’s competition lacks. “The feature I like the most is the cruise control. It gives me the most relaxing driving experience whenever I drive on the expressways.”

As for the 44-year-old Project Director for a known land developer Jojo Reario, the Mitsubishi Xpander was able to meet his criteria for a vehicle that is worth his money.

He added, “The Xpander is  reasonably priced with a low monthly premium for a seven-seater MPV. But the big deal about it, is the car-like chassis of the Xpander that provides the comfort of a car in an SUV. The Xpander may look like a small MPV on the outside, but inside it is more spacious than any other MPV in the category.”

It is not surprising that in the last two years, the owners of the Xpander had realizations as well as first-hand experience on what they have missed out for a long time — the desire of the auto brand to enlarge the horizons of its customers.

Moreover, the game-changing interior space management as well as the smart range of convenient features of the Xpander have changed the customers’ view of the brand.

Forty-six-year old banker Berwyn Arcal Pinpin said, “I chose the Xpander because of brand preference. I have been a Mitsubishi user from the Fuzion to the G4 and now, the Xpander. The Xpander justified my choice.”
