Mitsubishi refreshes PH-retailed Xpander lineup

MANILA: Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has upgraded its Xpander lineup.

In a statement, the Japanese automaker’s arm in the country shared that the updates that have been made available in the multi-purpose vehicle’s latest iteration are designed to keep families safe, comfortable, and connected.

“As one of the country’s most beloved family vehicles, the Xpander continues to combine style, space, and versatility— now with upgrades that make it an even more dependable member of the family,” MMPC noted.

To note, the model’s newest version arrived in the country months after it was released in Indonesia.

Aesthetic updates

Outside, both the Mitsubishi Xpander and Xpander Cross exude varying characteristics.

The former sports the following portions:

• Piano black latticework with a fluted portion above the grille
• A satin chrome bar that connects the updated daytime running lamps
• New lower bumpers with aero blade skirts that connect to the vehicle’s side sill garnishes
• Dual-tone 17-inch wheels

On the other hand, nameplate’s top-tier option carries:

• Beefier and boxier grille (reminiscent to the Triton)
• Burly lower bumpers (front and back) with vertical guards
• Distinct 17-inch alloys

The new Mitsubishi Xpander lineup gets varying features for the cabin: the lower trim is tailored with fabric and soft touch parts while the top-of-the-line option is outfitted with burgundy and black leather.

Cabin, tech upgrades

Further, the seven-seater vehicle — particularly the upper-middle and top-spec options — also comes with the following enhancements:

• New steering wheel design (similar to the Xforce’s)
• Two digital displays (Eight-inch instrument cluster and 10-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto)
• Second-row headrests

Among the notable technologies that have been added to the Xpander is the multi-around-view monitor, which helps drivers get in and out of tight parking spots and active yaw control — a feature only offered to the Xpander Cross’ previous iteration.

Available in four trims and nine color options (which covers three two-tone hues), the new Mitsubishi Xpander can be had at the following price points:
