Nissan GT-R 50th Anniversary Edition looks dope!

MANILA: Making a successful car is a tough ask, and if that car continues to roar on the roads for 50 years, the automobile manufacturer must have made a remarkable machine, right? Under the spotlight today is the Nissan GT-R.

The sports car is now 50 years old and in order to celebrate the occasion, Nissan, the Japanese automaker has unveiled an Anniversary Edition of the ever so popular beautiful beast. The most alluring feature of the special edition GT-R is its color, Bayside Blue. There are two other shades as well, namely white and silver, but who cares about them. Do you?

Interestingly, the Nissan GT-R 50th Anniversary Edition is not only a special edition but also the inception of the 2020 model of the sports car. While the car is benefited from new turbochargers which improve the low-rpm responses, the 3.8-litre V6 engine continues to produce 573 PS of maximum power. Optimized turbo flange attachment points are the other mechanical addition that helps in getting the most out of this mean beast.

Power delivery is still taken care of by a six-speed twin-clutch paddle-shift gearbox. Nissan has fine-tuned the suspension too, in order to attain more stability. Moreover, the exhaust now sounds even better thanks to a titanium muffler. Moving inside the Nissan GT-R 50th Anniversary Edition you are greeted by an interior that Nissan calls “reminiscent of the atmosphere of the night sky after the twilight hour”.

A revamped steering wheel, more of Alcantara leather, and other updates bring a breath of fresh air inside the GT-R. While the Japanese automobile manufacturer has not revealed the pricing yet,

the automobile universe expects the Nissan GT-R 50th Anniversary Edition to get a price tag of around £ 100,000, which roughly translates to Php 6,712,641. But a 50th anniversary special Nissan GT-R at this price is still quite a deal, isn’t it?
