Nissan Navara Sport Edition 2016 Launched – Own It For PhP 1,275,000

MANILA: The latest fashion of releasing a special edition of the highly popular cars is again adopted by the Japanese automaker, Nissan. This time, the Nissan Philippines Inc. found Nissan NP300 Navara a worthy contender to have an addition under its label with 'Special Edition' tag. The newest variant is the Sport Edition of the robust pick-up, which is designed keeping the interest of adventure loving youth in mind.

It has been a mixed month for Nissan so far with a major recall over wrong airbag timing which led the company face aggression of its loyal customers and auto critics. On the other hand, the brand released its Kicks, which is the official vehicle for the upcoming Rio Olympics. Apart from these activities, Nissan also expanded its reach to the customers through its newly opened ASEAN dedicated R&D center in Thailand. While launching the newest variant of Navara, Mr. Ramesh Narasimhan – the President & managing Director of Nissan Philippines Inc. excitedly told the media that the company is very proud to launch this sporty avatar of the award-winning NP300 Navara pick-up. The authority also highlighted the features which distinguish 2016 Navara Sport Edition from the standard Navara NP300 2016.

Under the Hood

While the powertrain is kept same as the standard Navara with 2.5-litre turbodiesel unit, the 2016 Navara Sport Edition gets the privilege of having an option of both 2WD and 4WD layouts which bring some distinction in the power and torque knocked out by the same engine. So the 2WD configured pick-up delivers a maximum power counting to 163 PS along with a peak torque of 403 Nm, while the 4WD elevates it to a peak power of 190 PS and peak torque of 450 Nm.

Sporty Styling

Coming to the cosmetic enhancement received by the Navara Sport Edition 2016, this special edition pick-up has been adorned with a unique honeycomb radiator grille and uplifted front skirts to show that signature robust appeal with some sportiness. Distinctive foglight housings is another aspect which you would notice and appreciate in this new edition.
