PH among leading markets for Ford Ranger Raptor globally

MANILA: The Philippines has become one of the leading markets for the Ford Ranger Raptor globally.

Without disclosing exact figures, the Blue Oval marque said the country is the third-largest export market for the performance pickup worldwide, behind Australia and South Africa. 

In a statement, the American automaker’s Philippine arm said this milestone reflects the model’s sustained popularity and continued demand among Filipino customers.

“The Ranger Raptor has completely redefined what a high-performance pickup can be, and its sustained demand in the country is a testament to its unmatched capabilities. This milestone shows that Filipino enthusiasts truly appreciate the world-class engineering and sheer capability that Ford Performance builds into every Raptor,” Ford Philippines Managing Director Pedro Simoes said.

“It has transcended from being just a pickup truck and has become a lifestyle symbol and a badge of success for a rapidly growing community of proud owners across the country,” he added. 

In the Philippines, the Raptor line-up is led by the 3.0-liter V6 variant, engineered by Ford Performance to handle the most rugged terrain and deliver remarkable performance.

This option comes with a 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo EcoBoost engine mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission, featuring an anti-lag system available in Baja mode. The mill has the capacity to deliver:

Further, the off-road focused model is also equipped with enhanced suspension with Ford Performance-developed Fox 2.5-inch Live Valve internal bypass shock absorbers.

Ranger Raptor fast facts

Since 2018, Ford has produced more than 215,000 Ranger Raptor units.

Although designed and engineered by Ford's product development teams in Australia, the Ranger Raptor was first built at the Ford Thailand Manufacturing (FTM) plant in Rayong Province, Thailand. 

The Ranger Raptor entered the North American market in 2023, with production beginning at the Michigan Assembly Plant in the United States.

Today, FTM remains the Ranger Raptor’s primary global production and export hub, shipping the model to 106 countries worldwide, including the Philippines.
