You won’t sweat if you have a Chevrolet Colorado or Trailblazer

MANILA: With the summer season already here and the temperature rising, the air conditioner in our cars is something we’re going to need a lot in the coming times. While the temperature outside is already high enough, the problems become bigger when the inside of our cars get hotter than the outside environment.

In case you’re not aware, in hot days, the temperature inside of our cars can get as high as 46-degrees with the dashboard heating up to 73-degrees. This high temperature can be highly hazardous especially for children and pets, has said a group of American researchers.

However, there’s good news for you, however, only if you have a new Chevrolet Trailblazer or Colorado. The remote start technology that Chevrolet has equipped the Trailblazer and Colorado with lets the users to not only start the engine but also turn the A/C on even without opening the doors of their vehicle. This helps in cooling down the inside of the vehicle and get away from facing scorching heat.

The decision of allowing the users to turn the engine and A/C on even from the outside of their vehicle was taken by GM after it tested its vehicles in the harsh conditions at Desert Proving Grounds in Yuma, Arizona. While the temperature in Arizona can rise up to 42-degrees,

GM tested its vehicles in its laboratories with a temperature in excess of 45-degrees. Chatchawan Chantaket, the general director of product engineering at GM Southeast Asia said, “By testing against high heat, we help ensure that Colorado and Trailblazer customers living in hot places like Southeast Asia will have reliable aircon every time they turn it on”.
