Ford PH adds Mustang Mach-E RWD starting price is P2.599M

MANILA: Ford Philippines has released a new variant for the Mustang Mach-E.

The new offering serves as the brand’s entry-level option, with the all-wheel-drive variant (which was launched last year)  sitting on top of it.

In a statement, the Blue Oval’s arm in the country shared that the Mustang Mach-E Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) has joined the fray with a standard retail price of P3.199 million. However, the company said that it is extending a P500,000-cash discount from the regular price tag–bringing the price tag down to P2.599 million–and an additional P100,000-trim for those who will get it in Grabber Yellow tone.

The arrival of the Mustang Mach-E RWD underscores our commitment to bringing the best of Ford’s global electric lineup to the Philippines," Ford Philippines Managing Director Pedro Simoes said. 

"By offering the RWD variant, we are providing our customers with a choice that emphasizes efficiency and long-range capability, all while maintaining the exhilarating performance and head-turning design that makes the Mach-E a true Mustang," he added.

Here’s what the Ford Mustang Mach-E RWD is offering to the market. 

Vehicle specifications

As the name suggests, the Ford Mustang Mach-E is powered by an electric motor in the front axle. This powertrain has the capacity to dish out:

Maximum output (in horsepower)	272
Peak torque (in Newton-meters)	525

While the higher trim offers higher acceleration, the newly-released variant has a longer range as it can cover 615 kilometers when fully charged.

The drivetrain features three selectable drive modes which are:

• Whisper: softens steering and throttle response for a smoother and more composed ride
• Engage balances comfort and performance for everyday use 
• Unbridle mode sharpens handling and acceleration for a more dynamic drive

It also comes with a one-pedal drive system that lets the driver to accelerate and decelerate using only the accelerator pedal. By lifting one’s feet off the pedal, the driver activates regenerative braking, which slows the vehicle and recovers energy for the battery.

In terms of aesthetics, the model’s rear-wheel and all-wheel drive variations features the same fastback silhouette adorned with the following portions:

• Tri-bar tail lamps 
• Frameless grille with active shutters works 
• LED projector headlamps with automatic leveling
• Sequential turn signals
• 19-inch machine-finished aluminum wheels
• Drainable front trunk
• E-Latch door system 

Its cabin is outfitted with perforated ActiveX synthetic leather seats that offer 10-way power adjustment for both driver and front passenger. 

Other creature comforts include:

• Heated front seats
• Dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control
• Rear air vents 
• 10.2-inch low-profile digital instrument cluster 
• 15.5-inch capacitive touchscreen with SYNC 4A (wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto ready) 
• Auto-dimming rearview mirror 
• Wireless charging pad

Luggage space inside can grow up to 1,420 liters and an additional 80-liter storage inside the front trunk.
