This is what the Hyundai Elantra N Line could look like
MANILA: Hyundai Motors has released photo renderings of the upcoming Elantra N Line sport sedan that was teased early this year.
Photos show low and wide styling along with a uniquely N Line version of the automaker’s signature cascading grille, that comes with appropriate badging and the motorsport-inspired air intake. It comes with side skirts, 18-inch alloy wheels, N Line-branded side mirrors, window accents and side skirts, and single twin exhausts and rear diffuser.
It is expected to be longer, wider, and with a lengthier wheelbase compared to the previous Elantra but should get a smaller, 1.6L engine yet more powerful via turbocharging (the regular Elantra uses a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine). Power should be around 200 HP and as such, will have larger brakes. Gearbox may be a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The Elantra N Line is expected to become an entry point for customers to Hyundai’s more powerful N brand of high performance vehicles.
“Elantra N Line offers a more aggressive design that incorporates N Line’s signature red accents inside and out at an attractive price. This will definitely satisfy those who are looking to join the Hyundai N community,” said Hyundai Motor Group Executive Vice President and Head of Product Division Thomas Schemera.
