Toyota aiming to sell 400 units of the Hiace Super Grandia every month
MANILA: We waited for quite some time before Toyota Philippines launched the 2019 Hiace Super Grandia in the country, didn't we? The automaker finally put an end to all the wait and anticipation yesterday with the official launch of the van in the country.
The standard 2019 Toyota Hiace has been doing pretty well in the Philippine automobile market ever since its launch and Toyota expects the plusher version of the van to achieve the same feat. While the Hiace Super Grandia accumulates around 1000 sales in a month, the Japanese automaker is expecting the luxury van to find 400 homes monthly.
The figure certainly looks big and hard to achieve, especially when considering the fact that even the Toyota Corolla manages to gather around 120 sales every month. Anyway, if Toyota Philippines is targeting at 400 trades monthly, the automaker must be sure about the demand and its capabilities to meet with its supplies. However, since all of the different Hiace models are produced in Japan, customers might face long wait-durations before they get their hands on the all-new Hiace.
In case you missed out on the launch story of the 2019 Toyota Hiace Super Grandia, the luxury van is a more sumptuous avatar of the regular Hiace. The van gets a chrome-plated four slat grille that is flanked by a pair of LED headlamps, a nine-seat setup that includes two rows of Captain’s Chairs, and the 1GD-FTV 2.8-litre engine that makes 176 hp of maximum power and a peak torque of 450 Nm. Just like any other Toyota car, the 2019 Toyota Hiace Super Grandia features up to nine SRS airbags, ABS with EBD, Pre-collision System (PCS), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Departure Alert (LDA), and Automatic High Beam (AHB), stability control, and much more.
The six variants of the 2020 Hiace Super Grandia and their respective prices are as follows:

- Hiace Super Grandia 2.8L Fabric (2-Tone): Php 2,435,000
