Foton PH gives payment extensions to customers amid community quarantine

MANILA: Amid the suspension of operations of various automobile companies following the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ), the United Asia Automotive Group Inc. (UAAGI) or Foton Philippines will give consideration to its customers.

Foton Philippines president Rommel Sytin said they do not want their customers to be anxious about their cars. Thus, Foton vehicle warranties that are due to expire during the ECQ are extended until June 30, 2020. This extension is also applicable to those with scheduled preventive maintenance services during this period.

Moreover, grace periods are provided for auto loan payments. Clients working with local banks like Security Bank, UCPB, RCBC, PSBank, Maybank, Eastwest Bank, Chinabank, BPI-Family Savings Bank, and BDO have been given payment extensions.

UAAGI advises customers to contact customer service hotlines or visit the websites of their respective banks for details on payment extension.

Sytin pointed out that such payment extensions would not have been possible without the generosity and concern of their bank partners. He also added that these bank partners are also one of the primary reasons why customers continue to patronize Foton.

In line with the protocols of the government, Foton has closed all dealerships in the country. This decision is in line with the social distancing measure that has taken into effect at UAAGI.

The temporary suspension of car dealership operations does not mean that existing clients and buyers will lose access to the brand. This is because their digital platforms (www.foton.com.ph or www.facebook.com/FOTONPhilippines) and the customer care hotline (0999-999-9998) are readily available to accept inquiries from clients.

Rommel Sytin added that they have high hopes that just like the problems that the Philippines has experienced in the past years, the Covid-19 crisis will be something that will also come to pass and that the Filipinos will overcome soon.
