Mitsubishi Motors PH to bring van offering 'soon'?

MANILA: An updated Mitsubishi L300 or an all-new Delica will likely be introduced in the Philippines soon.

While Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) is still mum on this development, a few breadcrumbs led to such a suspicion.

This as Nissan bared in its fiscal year 2024 report that a “OEM-out” van will be introduced in the country this year — which narrowed down the options to the two aforementioned nameplates.

While we are not discounting the possibility of MMPC formally introducing the all-new Delica to the Philippines, recent homologation papers from the Land Transportation Office (LTO) stated the locally-manufactured commercial vehicle.

Vehicle specifications

Here are the models’ possible specifications.

As stated in the LTO records, the newly-approved Mitsubishi L300 is a 13-seater (driver included) Class 1 public utility vehicle that has the following measurements:

Ground clearance (in mm)	195
Gross vehicle weight (in kilograms)	2,345

Powering the said vehicle is a four-cylinder, 2.2-liter diesel-fed engine that allows the vehicle to reach a top speed of 170 kilometers per hour.

Under the vehicle’s hood is a 16-valve, four-pot, 2.2-liter double overhead cam common rail direct-inject turbo diesel mill.
