The Toyota Hiace Cargo wants to move it, move it

MANILA: The Toyota Hiace is the leading van in the Philippines (cornering 66% of the market as of May 2020). It now ups its game even further with a new variant specially designed for transporting goods or payload other than passengers.

Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) First Vice President for Vehicle Sales Operations Sherwin Chualim said that the new Toyota Hiace Cargo represents the company's constant pursuit to cater to the needs of the public to transport goods and supplies securely and safely, especially during the pandemic.

Last year, Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) launched the Full Model Change Hiace with the inclusion of Super Grandia Elite, along with GL Tourer variants, to serve more upmarket customers.

The Toyota Hiace Cargo is predicated on the Commuter, except that it now ferries loads other than passengers. Through the introduction of a seatless option, the Hiace further extends its service to more businesses.

Also, the Commuter variant has continually become an indispensable people transporter used as UV Express to cater to the needs of the public and as company shuttles for private use.

Generally, the versatile variant lineup expansion is coupled with the Toyota benchmark of dependability, durability, and quality. These attributes, along with a roster of new safety, convenience, and comfort functionalities, made the Hiace an ideal choice in the utility van category.

According to Chualim, the Philippines is considered to be the largest market for the Hiace outside Japan.

The Toyota Hiace Cargo can be availed for P1,101 million this July.
