2017 Toyota Wigo now available at dealerships

MANILA: Finally the updated entry-level hatchback from the Japanese automaker, Toyota has made its way to the Philippines. Yes, Toyota Philippines confirmed that the 2017 Toyota Wigo is now available on the dealerships and the updated car is all set to lock its horns against the likes of Suzuki Celerio, Mitsubishi Mirage and Chevrolet Spark. The 2017 Wigo comes with an updated front fascia and a list of new features.

Starting with the front, the 2017 Wigo gets projector-type headlights along with LED Daytime running lights. The front grille is now more prominent and gets a chrome finish. The side mirrors now have integrated turn signals and the hatchback gets a new set of 14-inch alloy wheels, which adds to the sporty quotient of the car in a significant manner. Though the manufacturer has not revealed the exact specifications of the updated Wigo but, it is expected that it will carry the specs of the 2017 Agya launched in the Indonesian market in April.

The top-end variants are expected to feature touchscreen infotainment system and a three-spoke steering wheel with audio controls. Under the hood, the hatchback is equipped with a 1.0-litre KR-VE three-cylinder engine that delivers 65 PS maximum power and 89 Nm peak torque. The engine is further mated to either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission.
