2018 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 revealed
MANILA: It was in 2016 when Mitsubishi offered a major change in its much acclaimed Mirage. After two years, the Japanese automaker has updated its sub-compact sedan, the Mirage G4. Yes, the 2018 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 is finally revealed with a majority of the changes limited to the rear section.

The new Mirage G4 comes with a sportier flair at the back, a cluster of redesigned taillights with a new elongated rear bumper. Both the GLX and GLS models come with 15-inch alloy wheels. The GLS model gets a dark chrome finish. All the wheels roll on 185/55/R15 series tires. Two new external colours are available for the 2018 Mirage G4 GLS model, which are Sundance Orange and Wine Red Pear.

Shiny black plastic trim and fabric-covered seats decorate the interiors of the new Mirage G4. Also, there is a three-spoke steering wheel in leather (for high-grade variants), 12V power socket, a fully-adjustable driver's seat and a four-speaker sound system. The G4 further gets a trendier instrument panel and a newly illuminated gear shifter panel (only for CVT variants). There is a touch screen display that supports AM/FM radio, CD, MP3, iPod interface, Aux, Bluetooth and USB, thus adding to the travellers’ entertainment. The touch screen system of GLX measures 7-inches while that of the GLS measures 6.75-inches and are fitted with GPS navigation as per standard.

The Mirage G4 comes with 1.2-litre 3A92 inline-three engine with MIVEC technology. The output is 78 PS at 6000 rpm along with a modest 100 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm. The Mirage G4 comes with either a five-speed manual gearbox or a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Whichever mode you choose, Mitsubishi ensure that you'll be always choosing class-leading fuel economy and low CO2 emissions.

Both the models of the Mirage G4 are provided with dual front airbags, anti-lock brakes (ABS) with electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), a brake override system (BOS) and an emergency stop signal (ESS). Features like the rear ISOFIX anchors for child seats, keyless entry, and front fog-lights are only available for the GLS variants.

The Mirage G4 series has been congregated in the Philippines in compliance with the government's CARS (Comprehensive Automotive Resurgence Strategy) program. The prices of the 2018 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 in the Philippines vary between Php 666,000 and Php 816,000, depending on the models.
