2020 Toyota Corolla Altis bookings open

The 2020 Toyota Corolla Altis loaded with the sharp, new design and a highly efficient powertrain has finally made its way to the Philippines. Not only that, but Toyota has also confirmed the launch of Corolla Altis Hybrid for the Philippine market.

The automaker has opened bookings of the vehicle and all the authorized Toyota dealers of the country are now accepting reservations for all-new Corolla Altis. The supposed prices were revealed last week, with the starting price at just below Php 1 million. Along with the hybrid version, the naturally-aspirated 1.6-litre and 1.8-litre variants are also in the range.

In comparison to the Prius and Prius C model, the Philippines customers are widely familiar with Corolla Altis, and this is the first time when the automaker is launching the hybrid version of an existing model. Further, it is still not clear that 1.8-litre variant for 2020 Corolla Altis will come with the non-hybrid version or not.

The hybrid engine will be powered by a 1.8-litre four-cylinder, Atkinson-cycle engine that is helped along by an electric motor with an estimated power generation of 150 PS. Along with the hybrid version, the naturally-aspirated 1.6-litre and 1.8-litre variants are also in the range. On the other hand, the 1.6-liter, naturally-aspirated engine may still come with 122 PS of power and 153 Nm of torque.

The expected prices of the 2020 Toyota Corolla Altis are as follows:

• 2020 Toyota Corolla Altis 1.6E MT: PhP 999,000
• 2020 Toyota Corolla Altis 1.6G MT: PhP 1,045,000
• 2020 Toyota Corolla Altis 1.6G CVT: PhP 1,115,000
• 2020 Toyota Corolla Altis 1.6V CVT: PhP 1,185,000
• 2020 Toyota Corolla Altis 1.6V CVT White Pearl: PhP 1,200,000 
• 2020 Toyota Corolla Altis 1.8V Hybrid: PhP 1,580,000 
• 2020 Toyota Corolla Altis 1.8V Hybrid White Pearl: PhP 1,595,000
