MANILA: Morris Garages (MG) has debuted the new MG4 at the ongoing Auto China 2026.

New MG4 upgrades
Outside, the 2026 MG4 gets a sleek black floating roof paired with a set of 17-inch “Starry” aluminum alloy wheels.
New colors revealed at the auto show are Ice Crystal Blue and Almond Beige, which seem to be aimed towards the younger market.
And while we are on the topic of paintwork, MG partnered with pop artist Jacky Tsai and the Luxun Academy of Fine Arts to co-create artistic and trendsetting customization options, turning the MG4 from a daily commuter into a stylish lifestyle icon.
Inside, the MG4 for 2026 gets seats with heating, ventilation, massage, and memory functions.
Further, it is fitted with an 8.88-inch driver instrument display and a 15.6-inch 2.5K ultra-high-definition central touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay for seamless connectivity.
Notable too are the vehicle’s Oppo smart cockpit enhancements.
Lastly, MG stated that the nameplate has received significant driver assistance technologies, such as nose-in parking, do-it-yourself custom parking, and dead-end parking — making it easier to handle a wide range of real-world parking scenarios.
MG 4X announcement
Another addition to the MG4 family will arrive next month in the form of the MG 4X.
Per the SAIC Motors-owned English-rooted brand, even the entry-level version comes with a semi-solid battery and a rear-drive five-link independent suspension as standard, positioning the MG 4X to set a new value-for-money benchmark in the pure electric sport utility vehicle market.
