Isuzu adds 1.9-litre engine in the mu-X lineup

MANILA: It seems that Isuzu Philippines is not quite done with introducing iterations to the celebrated mu-X. The Japanese carmaker has gone ahead and revealed yet another variant of the midsize SUV.

 

Named after its engine, the mu-X Rz4E comes powered by a Euro-4 compliant 1.9- litre, turbo diesel mill that offers 148 hp of maximum power and 350 Nm of peak torque. Designed to devour lesser fuel, the Rz4E, as revealed by Isuzu Philippines is expected to offer a fuel efficiency of 35.8 kmpL on highways.

 

Slotted to feature under the LS variants in the long mu-X lineup, the car comes with a lightweight engine that is far less noisy as well. Reduced vibrations and easy serviceability are one of the prime selling features that are likely to make this one an instant winner besides the stunning looks.

Priced at Php 1,395,000, the LZ Rz4E base variant MT is targeted for fleet use as revealed by Isuzu Philippines. The middle variant LZ-A Rz4E 4x2 MT is priced at Php 1,570,000 whereas, the next higher variant Mu-X LS-A Rz4E 4x2 AT can be yours for Php 1,595,000 once the sales start from 1st April.

However, the top variant D-Max Rz4E is poised for a June release. Booking for the same will open once the car is revealed at the Manila International Auto Show on 5th April.
