    PH-market launches

The month of November witnessed several big launches — including some of the respective brands’ important nameplates. Here is a quick look at these new vehicle rollouts.

New BMW 750e xDrive PHEV, updated 318i Professional

BMW Philippines, under the stewardship of SMC Asia Car Distributors Corporation, has hosted two new product launches this month.

First is the new BMW 750e xDrive plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), which is touted as a vehicle that represents the pinnacle of the marque’s engineering and innovation, thanks to a seamless blend of cutting-edge electrification with the carmaker’s hallmark driving dynamics.

It was preceded by the refreshed BMW 318i Professional, boasting numerous improvements when it comes to comfort and driving-oriented features.

BMW Philippines’ one-two combo proves that the sedan market is still alive and well — at least for the country’s luxury segment.

Ford Ranger Wildtrak, Ranger Raptor SE

Ford Motor Company Philippines has expanded its “Special Edition” series to the Wildtrak and Raptor variants of its iconic Ranger nameplate.

Like previous iterations, the Ford Ranger Wildtrak and Ranger Raptor Special Edition models sport additional cosmetic upgrades while retaining familiar mechanical features. As such, the SE variants offer car buyers dressed-up pickup trucks right off the dealership.

Only 100 samples of each will be released per the local wing of the Blue Oval brand.

    Kia Sonet K-Style Edition

ACMobility-led Kia Philippines spiced up its Sonet lineup with the release of the crossover’s K-Style Edition model

Notably, it gets a set of 16-inch alloy wheels and a unique K-Style side decal.

Only 150 units of the Kia Sonet K-Style Edition will be sold in the Philippines.

    Mitsubishi Destinator

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation has officially unleashed the Destinator seven-seater sport utility vehicle in the country.

Sporting similar design cues to the smaller Mitsubishi XForce, its arrival in the Philippines is somewhat momentous since it was first announced here by the company’s subsidiary at the 9th Philippine International Motor Show as the DST Concept

It is also the first Mitsubishi vehicle in a while to sport a turbocharged gasoline engine.

    MG HS Hybrid+

In its bid to keep up with the growing hybrid vehicle market in the country, Chinese brand Morris Garages (MG) Philippines released the HS Hybrid+

Power comes from a 1.5-liter inline-four turbocharged gasoline engine paired with a battery and an electric motor. The setup generates up to 220 horsepower and 340 Newton-meters of torque.

    It retails for P1.398 million.

    Enticing promos

For car buyers looking to drive home a new ride, the latter part of the year is always a good time to look around and shop for a new car. Here are some of the promos that have been released for the 11th month of 2025.

    Toyota PH

As for the leading car brand in the country, Toyota Motor Philippines launched new promos for the month of November, making its cars more attainable to the general public with low down payment, low monthly, or cash discount options for select models.

Highlighted nameplates include the Toyota Wigo, Raize, Avanza, Corolla Cross, Yaris Cross, Zenix, RAV4, and Camry. In addition, the Tamaraw gets special discounts, while the Vios, Veloz, Innova, Fortuner, and Hilux are packaged with a free one-year insurance.

    Mini PH

Mini Philippines has activated its “Black Fest” promo with up to P600,000 off for select models. Discounted nameplates include the Cooper 3-door (internal combustion engine-powered, electric-powered), Aceman, Countryman ALL4 (internal combustion engine-powered, electric-powered), and Countryman John Cooper Works ALL4.

    Honda PH

Honda Cars Philippines Incorporated, too, launched its salvo of appealing promos, including the P35 down payment scheme (in celebration of its  35th year), as well as the “Drive Today, Pay Next Year” promo, which gives up to two months of free amortization.

Focus products include the Honda City, BR-V, and HR-V.

    BYD Cars PH

Meanwhile, Ayala’s BYD Cars Philippines celebrated the brand’s global anniversary of 31 years with limited-time deals, treats, and other offers to its customers.

Highlighted models include the BYD Seagull, Seal 5 DM-i, Sealion 5 DM-i, Dolphin, eMAX 7, Atto 3, Seal, Shark 67 DMO, Han, and Tang.

    Ford PH

On the other hand, Ford Motor Company Philippines revived its “Year-End Sale” (YES) promo, allowing those wanting to drive an American-branded vehicle to enjoy affordable monthly amortization, low all-in down payments, zero-percent interest plans, and cash discounts.

Available with notable deals are the Ford Ranger, Everest, Territory, Explorer, and Bronco.

    Mercedes-Benz PH

Luxury car brand Mercedes-Benz has also kicked off an exclusive promo in November, where buyers who will purchase a vehicle from select dealership locations can get exclusive holiday offers of up to P5 million.

The company also has an ongoing roadshow that will run until February 1, 2026. Featured vehicles include the Mercedes-Benz C- and V-Class models as well as the C 180 Avantgarde and the V 220 d Avantgarde Extra Long

Visitors will also be able to check out the Mercedes-Benz GLE 400e Plug-in Hybrid in the metal.

    Dealership openings, aftermarket expansions

Various brands have opened new dealers as a way to strengthen their foothold in the industry before the year ends.

    Lexus PH

Lexus Philippines has moved to a new home at the corner of 8th Avenue and Colonel Santos Street in Grand Central Park, North Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.

Called the Lexus Manila Gallery, it is said to offer a larger and relaxing space for customers.

    Suzuki PH

Suzuki Philippines Incorporated’s automotive arm has opened a new dealership in Surigao. It is situated at Kilometer 5, Barangay Luna in Surigao City, and is managed by Sakura Autoworld Incorporated.

The 3S (sales, service, and spare parts) facility boasts a showroom that can accommodate three vehicles, a service area with four fully-equipped bays, and sufficient supply of genuine parts.

Further, the brand — with the same partner — has broken ground on the soon-to-rise dealership in Lucena in Quezon Province.

    Nissan PH

In a surprising move, Nissan Philippines has opened a new dealership in Bukidnon. It is located in Valencia Estate, Lumbo in Valencia City.

Highlights include a contemporary showroom that can cater to six vehicles and a service area equipped with four workbays.

    Aftermarket

As for the local aftermarket industry, the month of November saw YSS Automotive Suspension officially enter the Philippine market and Bosch Car Service Philippines (alongside ACMobility) open its first electric vehicle and hybrid electric vehicle workshop in the country.

For local oil players, Unioil Petroleum Philippines Incorporated has officially entered a strategic partnership with Saudi Arabia-based energy and chemicals company Aramco. Meanwhile, Hella has entered the local lubricant segment, and Petron has introduced the new Sprint Scooter Oil line

    Global news

Several news stories globally appear to have a potential impact on the local market. Here is the latest buzz abroad.

    Yamaha motorcycles

In India, Yamaha Motor Company Limited is poised to launch an electric-powered Aerox. There is still no confirmation from the company’s local wing, but there could be a fat chance that it will make its way here.

However, the motorcycle manufacturer’s Philippine arm could be introducing the Yamaha XMax Tech Max soon. Such a hunch came after the publication found out about a recently issued document from the Land Transportation Office.

    Toyota vehicles

Toyota Motor Corporation has debuted the hybrid version of the Veloz multi-purpose vehicle. Pre-orders have begun in Indonesia, so it is only a matter of time before it reaches the country.

    Photo from Toyota Motor Thailand

Similarly, the marque has rolled out the all-new Hilux in Thailand, where it is called the Travo-e. It has been confirmed for local release

    Nissan pickup

Nissan Motor Corporation has rolled out the latest version of its Navara truck in Australia. Although it isn’t likely to be sold here, many fans are wondering if the company will ever consider bringing it to local shores.
