PH-spec next-gen Ford Ranger breaches 15k-unit sales milestone

MANILA: The next-generation Ford Ranger has breached its 15,000-sales milestone in the Philippines.

Ford Philippines shared that as of September 2023, a total of 16,127 next-generation Ranger examples were turned over to customer. The company also added the vehicle is its top-selling model for the first nine months of 2023 — retailing a total of 9,113 units and reflecting a 22-percent growth versus the same period last year.

The aforementioned feat was reached some 14 months after the model made its local debut.

“We are elated with the achievement of this new milestone for the next-gen Ranger, which is a true testament to its growing popularity among Filipino pickup truck buyers. It is the smartest, most versatile, and most capable Ranger yet, and was developed with our customers in mind. We thank our loyal base of Ranger owners for their trust and our dealers for continuing to enhance the ownership experience,” Ford Philippines Managing Director Michael Allen Breen was quoted in a statement.

The next-generation pick-up can easily be identified: it has a new grille design, rear box side steps, wider track and wheelbase, embossed tailgate and LED taillamps, and C-clamp LED headlamps.

Inside, the Blue Oval’s pick-up truck is fitted with an eight-inch digital instrument cluster, 10- or 12-inch portrait touchscreen, 360-degree camera, and Sync 4A with Wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity.

Further, the next-generation Ford Ranger enjoys an upgraded chassis and suspension, as well as a 50-millimeter track width increase.

Its myriad of driver-assist technologies includes adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and lane centering, autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian detection, forward collision warning, and blind spot information system with cross-traffic alert and braking. The vehicle comes with as much as seven airbags — depending on the trim.

Moreover, the next-generation Ranger comes with FordPass and is packaged with a five-year warranty.

Relatedly, Ford Philippines has extended its Truck Month promo until the end of October.

The sales initiative provides customers an array of payment options in the form of cash discounts, low down payment deals, and low monthly terms across the Ranger line-up.

According to Ford Philippines, next-generation Ranger customers can get cash discount of up to P50,000. They may also avail the model via all-in down payment of P98,000 or monthly deal of P11,111.
